March 23, 2007 - Founder, Patty Linson and President, Lynn Denton of the newly formed nonprofit organization, Las Vegas Teen Crisis, were presented with the mayor’s Proclamation at the Profitability Magazine publication roll out party held at the Alexis Park Resort on Wednesday night.
Hundreds of local business leaders were in attendance as this organization was spotlighted and awarded one of this city’s greatest honors.
“Whereas; Las Vegas Teen Crisis provides options for those suffering from problems relating to addiction by placing an emphasis on the family as a whole; and
Whereas: Las Vegas Teen Crisis represents a unified body of individuals coming together to participate in a movement to counteract negative influences …” is just a portion of the Proclamation naming March 14th as Las Vegas Teen Crisis day! “Our city is in great need of a solution that can be offered to teens and families in need.
This proclamation goes a long way in promoting our efforts that are passionate about presenting effective Prevention awareness and teen intervention with the end result of building families with aligned purpose and values!” said Denton. “We are working with an amazing group of leaders within our community whose intent is to create a lasting shift in the family so that major breakdown involving drugs, legal issues, and educational dropout would be eliminated.”
