August 15, 2007 - Rakhi and Teej are very auspicious festivals in India. Mahila Mangal a charitable trust organized a fair as a celebration of Rahi Teej. Mayor Arti Mehra Inaugurated this fair and said that it is pleasure being in this festival organized by Mahila Mangal. Mahila Mangal is being doing the charitable works such as training the women in different works and providing artificial limbs to physically handicapped people.
250 stalls were opened with all kind of Rakhis house hold accessories, appliances, Food stalls, designer cloths, and designer jewelry for every age group. And more than thousands of people visited and purchased the necessary items for the festival celebration.
One more eminent person arrived at the fair was Ms. Kumari Shailjha- Urban Development Minister to grace the event and appreciated Mahila Mangals Festival, and gave an assurance to them that she will help this trust favors as far as she can. President Sulochana Mansi facilitated all the guests in a traditional way with flowers.
According to Sulochana Mansi- Mahila Mangal organizes these kinds of festival on every occasion, and festival so that the products and the handicraft items can be sold and the funds raised through these sales will be used for the charitable activities. The fairs organized by Mahila Mangal have confined to Delhi, but shortly they will be organizing these kinds of fairs all over the India. Recently they organized the same fare in Dubai and they got tremendous response to handicraft items.
