Hay, who has lived in the Triangle area her entire life, has been licensed in Real Estate since 1982 and also worked several years as a residential appraiser. She comes from a family of realtors — her father was a past president of the Durham Board of Realtors and one of the first members of the Appraisal Institute in the state, and her sister is a real estate broker and an MAI appraiser, as well.
