June 26, 2008 - Accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF) is proud to announce partner Marc S. Dickler has been appointed to the Compliance Assurance Oversight Committee (CAOC) of the Maryland Board of Accountancy.
The CAOC is responsible for oversight of the peer review process in Maryland on behalf of the Maryland Board of Accountancy. In 2006, the Governor of Maryland signed into law the requirement that all firms that provide compilation, review, or audit/attest services must have a peer review in order to be licensed in the State of Maryland.
“It is an honor to be appointed to the CAOC,” said Dickler. “Through this position, I will have the opportunity to offer my professional expertise, which helps me to continue to give back to the profession.”
Dickler, who is based out of MBAF’s Baltimore office, heads the firm’s Automobile Dealership Audit Practice. He has over 25 years of experience in public accounting. Dickler’s areas of expertise include tax and accounting, technology consulting, litigation support and business valuation.
