February 21, 2009 - Small businesses can make connections that drive their bottom line at the annual Metro Expo trade show and collaboration conference, Tuesday, March 10, at the Sacramento Convention Center.
The Sacramento Metro Chamber's vendor fair is one of five collaboration conferences established by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to better link small business with contracting opportunities and certification information.
In one day, Metro Expo will provide businesses with:
--Quality leads
--Contracting and purchasing connections
--One-on-one networking
--New products and innovations
This year, the trade show will provide the opportunity to meet with procurement managers of large organizations and also become certified with government agencies. More than 200 tabletop exhibitors will be on hand.
"The Metro Expo is a power-packed event. In a few hours, business owners and managers can meet with potential clients, get certified for state contracts, pick up the latest in business intelligence and then relax by networking with some of the region's leading businesses," said Matt Mahood, Metro Chamber president & CEO.
Educational components of Metro Expo include workshops from the Metro Chamber's Business Builder series, a demonstration of the business retention and expansion tool called Metro Pulse, and training on how to do business with regional agencies.
The event will be held 12:30-7 p.m.; trade show 1-5 p.m., educational sessions 1-4 p.m., networking reception 5-7 p.m.
Tickets are $30 for Metro Chamber members and $40 for nonmembers. Reception-only tickets are also available, $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Register online at www.metrochamber.org/expo.
