Maimah Karmo.com Website Launch Reston, Virginia/USA – August 2007

We are excited to announce the launch of Maimah Karmo’s new website, www.MaimahKarmo.com.

(1888PressRelease) August 16, 2007 - As an author, activist and motivational speaker Maimah Karmo travels around the globe, speaking and motivating women, encouraging them to live their best life. The new website, www.MaimahKarmo.com provides readers with information about her book and a background on the author.

Her goal is to empower women to connect and utilize their potential to the fullest, moving towards realizing their highest self in this lifetime.
Further, as a breast cancer survivor she is committed to educating women of all ages around the world about breast cancer; and empowering them to celebrate their lives every day by harnessing their personal power.

About Maimah Karmo
Maimah has been writing since she can remember. By age of five she had accumulated a wide variety of books from all over the world and kept her parents busy finding interesting new books to feed her voracious appetite for reading. In her teenage years, she wrote poems and essays. She was a published writer by age 10.

Today, she is the Managing Editor of Global Woman Magazine, an international publication, which is “every woman’s passport to the world. Global Woman addresses issues that affect women who fight against breast cancer, female genital mutilation, fistula, domestic violence, lung cancer in women and many other issues that plague the lives of women.”

She is also Founder and President of Tigerlily Foundation, a breast cancer advocacy organization (www.tigerlilyfoundation.org).

Her book, How Breast Cancer Saved My Life: "Using A Challenge as a Gift", her most personal work to date, is a story of facing challenges, overcoming them and thriving because of them. Maimah shows how you can use apparently insurmountable odds to create the life you want to live.
