As featured in national press and television coverage, Barry’s previous business, ‘Wiggy’s World’ a children’s indoor playcentre, was forced to close after the nationwide public liability insurance crisis of 2003.
After this devastating loss, Barry refocused his original career as children’s magician ‘Uncle Wiggy’. Barry had to fight against public opinion that he had sold ‘Wiggy’s World’ and retired from entertaining. After losing money with the closure of his business, Barry was unable to invest in printed advertising, instead selecting an online directory where he could advertise instantly and closely monitor results. Within days Barry had received several bookings and ‘Uncle Wiggy’ returned to the entertaining circuit.
Never one to relax, entrepreneur Barry decided to search for a new business over which he could wave his magic wand.

In the past 18 months Barry has had to give the business a complete overhaul, continue working as Uncle Wiggy and deal with considerable financial difficulties. Barry also suffers from Menieres Disease and has recently had to cope with two family bereavements.
