Madison Gallery, a Dealer of Contemporary and Modern Fine Arts, has officially opened at 1020 Prospect in La Jolla, California. Founded in 1986 by Lorna York in Boston, MA, Madison Gallery represents a diverse group of artists from the mystical expressionist Jamali, Renzo, Fidel Garcia, Tarnowski, Kazandjian, and sculptors Christopher Shultz and Boban. Additionally, Madison Gallery plans to host major exhibitions by Warhol, Lichtenstein, Haring, Basquiat and the Modern Masters such as Picasso, Miro, and Chagall.
C.E.O. Lorna York has been in the arts business for over 20 years and has worked with hundreds of international artists and publishers. As an art dealer of blue chip art (i.e. Modern Masters), York has the amazing ability to find rare works available on the open market. Hence, there are no limits to what she can acquire for collectors. Additionally, her commitment to philanthropy will become evident in the many charity events that she plans to host at Madison Gallery to benefit the local community.
