April 19, 2009 - This is a sister site to the company's original website, www.ticcheandbea.com.
Luxe Basics was created to offer a bit of luxury in a cost-conscious world. Most consumers like the idea of quality, well-made products made in the USA, but unfortunately, a large price tag often accompanies those goods. Luxe Basics products allow customers to indulge their children in a bit of luxury?a super-soft changing pad cover, or sheet, plush bedding and slipcovers. What began as a wholesale operation recently evolved into www.luxebasics.com: According to Mary Mertens, the company's President, "We were receiving many calls every month from customers who had heard about our products, especially our glider covers, bamboo crib rail covers & minky sheets. They didn't live near one of our retailers, but in many cases had heard about our products from friends or on the web. At the time we didn't have an option for customers to see the products, get detailed product information, or to make purchases, so we created www.luxebasics.com"
About the company
Luxe Basics was developed by Mary Mertens from Ticche & Bea, the company's first foray into retail sales. Luxe Basics began when Mertens made custom basics for high-end children?s furniture stores, and created a specific line based on what retailers wanted. Many manufacturers create design-based goods, but Luxe Basics strives to "fill in the gaps" with soft-goods basics that complete every nursery.
