August 01, 2009 - Jalandhar - Thousands of students throng to appear for the AIEEE test, all with the same dream in their eyes...to secure admission in the best education institute across India. And what will be a better compliment for a university when all the 960 seats applied for by the varsity are taken by students from as far as Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh to name a few.
It comes as a matter of pride for the North region which is slowly taking over other parts of the country as an educational hub. And more so, it was a matter of immense honour for Lovely Professional University when a student from Andhra Pradesh filled in the first preference for this varsity to pursue his engineering studies. This itself speaks more than anything for the standards which LPU has set which is attracting students from all over the nation surpassing popular options like Delhi and Pune.
Students have applied from all over which will represent a perfect mix of all states as students from 20 states have filled their preference for LPU. Be it, Rajasthan which will have a strong presence and Punjab students opting in highest number.
LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal says, “We have nothing to say in it, I am humbled with this achievement that LPU has been able to attract students from South also. And I assure them they will be provided with the best standards in everything; faculty, infrastructure, hostels and above all a healthy environment.”
