Riley, Jr., College of Charleston Head Basketball Coach, Bobby Cremins, North Charleston Mayor, Keith Summey and many others asking people to 'buy local.' LLF also launched a Membership Drive at the meeting. Each member that refers a new business to joining LLF will get their name entered twice in a raffle. Also, new members/businesses will get their name entered in the raffle once and will receive membership for $100 during Buy Local Month. Haley said, "The member meeting was great! We had a big turn out and sold a lot of Buy Local Cards. Everyone that attended was excited and ready for Buy Local Month and supporting the Lowcountry." She added, "I also want to thank everyone that has helped us with promoting Buy Local Month and putting the member meeting together, especially Megan Porter [Owner of Charleston Children's Boutique] for hosting it at her store. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to accomplish everything we've done thus far."

Blogs, Facebook and Twitter posts will feature ongoing events and highlight member businesses throughout the month.
