October 23, 2009 - Qualitest presents the latest technology for low temperature compression set testing of Rubber and Elastomers from Elastocon to the North American market. The combination of our EV 09 Compression Set Rig and lab freezers will drastically improve the accuracy of your test results.
Performing compression set in low temperature without having to open the deep-freezer & influence the compression set result has always been a problem.By using the EV 09 compression rig in combination with a deep-freezer with a special cover the test can be performed without touching the test piece. All adjustments of height, releasing the compression force and measuring the height after recovery time is made from outside the freezer. It is not necessary to remove the rig from the freezer. The accuracy of the results is then much higher.
The system is a complete system with rigs, software for plotting the recovery and a special adapted deep-freezer. Customers that already have the EB 02 stress relaxation rig from Qualitest can upgrade their old system to a low temperature EV 09 compression set rig by purchasing an easy to install addition.
