It’s Loudoun County Weather, which provides local weather forecasts (3-day and 7-day), current conditions (wind speed, humidity, dewpoint, heat index and barometer), sunrise and sunset times, a zonecast which includes National Weather Service watches, warnings and special weather statements, and even an hourly weather track (7-hour and 12-hour view) so Loudoun County residents can get up to the minute localized weather information.
Loudoun County Weather provides localized forecasts for Ashburn, Dulles, Hamilton, Hillsboro, Leesburg, Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville and Round Hill. Additional hyper local forecasts can also be found by entering a zip code.
The site also includes regional and national weather radar, including composite radar, long range radar, one hour totals and storm totals, and even a radar view of a storm’s relative motion. And by clicking on “loops,” the radar shows a weather system’s movement just like you see on the nightly news.
Loudoun County Weather also includes live streaming audio of NOAA Weather Radio, as well as podcasts of NOAA’s hourly weather report, regional summary, coastal waters, tide times, hazardous weather and daily climate summary. And the site features links to select cities in the National Capital Region; travel weather for such cities as New York, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia and Miami; and a forecast for the Virginia mountains/Skyline Drive area.
