September 15, 2008 - As a retired US Army 1SG, a Disabled Veteran, and a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Ms. Parker continues to find ways to serve veterans and her community.
Her own transition from military service, and the challenges she faced prompted her to identify new and innovative ways to promote the personal and professional growth of veterans and service members.
Becoming a Certified Professional Résumé Writer contributed not only to her own personal development, but has also provided an opportunity to help others in need.
The Annual Stand Down for Veterans and Homelessness will be held at the Salvation Army Community Center in Savannah, Georgia on 30 September 2008. All community members and visitors are invited to attend.
