July 15, 2009 - WHAT: Six Phoenix AMF bowling centers will host a Bowl for the Cure Day on Saturday, July 18, from 10 am to 10 pm, to help raise funds for the local chapter of Susan G. Komen.
“Susan G. Komen is excited to partner with AMF bowling to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer,” said Allison Levin, the manager of fund development and media for Komen Phoenix. “It’s a win-win situation for everyone to come out, have fun, stay cool and STRIKE it big while supporting a vital cause that affects so many. We ask our community to be part of the perfect game which means coming together to find a cure to end breast cancer forever.”
The event will have raffle prizes that will include a pink bowling ball, family fun packs for bowling, a bowling ball signed by Shaq and a bowling ball bag. The prizes will vary at each location. Raffle tickets will be on sale with one raffle ticket for $2 and six raffle tickets for $10. All funds raised will be donated to the local Phoenix chapter. Wearing pink is highly encouraged and this event is open to the public.
