March 28, 2006 - BY DANIEL MCSWAIN The operators of Long Distance Dedication Radio (LDD) are using the international power of Internet radio to allow listeners to log on to the broadcaster's home page and submit a digital dedication that is then broadcast over the Net. Dedications made over the Web have helped attract much of LDD's international audience, a large number of which are New York area residents with family and friends in the Caribbean.
In addition to the dedications,listeners can tune in to a number of live and prerecorded programs that include a variety of daily newscasts focusing on different areas of the world as well as several hours of musical programming. LDD Radio also features a spotlight on some of the up and coming personalities that the station supports, as well as photo albums and message boards full of content supplied by listeners and supporters of the station.
Currently, one of LDD Radio's most successful segments is the Gospel program "Gospel Inspiration & The Spoken Word," hosted by Godfrey Johnson which airs live every Sunday from 6 AM - 12 PM EST.
