Born in a time of austerity, Linguistica International enjoyed year-on-year growth of 50 percent through the downturn. The translation agency is still flourishing today at the ripe old age of six.

Born in the spare room of a frustrated translator in 2008, Linguistica International has become a beacon of hope for all those who believe in delivering high quality work for a fair price. The cause of the frustration was working for a series of agencies, some of the leading names in the industry, who were happy to send error ridden, sloppy translations to clients.
This was not the kind of work Carrie Wilson, founder of Linguistica International, could stand to produce. So she decided to go it alone.
Unbeknown to her was the impending financial crisis that left so many British businesses reeling. Against a backdrop of cutbacks and closures, Linguistica International achieved an average year-on-year growth of 50 percent.
These challenging early years caught up with a number of the company's competitors, and while Linguistica International continued to grow, some of the leading names in the translation industry were forced to fold.
Now the economic situation is looking considerably brighter and Linguistica International continues to thrive. The figures for 2014 are already 55 percent up on the end of year figures for 2013.
This success has been replicated by the company's client retention rates. In 2014, the client retention rates sit at 90 percent; in 2015, Carrie and the team are committed to drive this up to 100 percent!
Carrie Wilson is quick to thank her translation team for Linguistica International's ongoing success:
