February 26, 2007 - Linda Plunkett, owner of AWPOV Rug Specialist, Inc has received the Certified Fabric Specialist designation from the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration. Only a select group of textile and fabric experts hold this foremost certification.
The CFS designation preeminent recognition offered by ASCR in this field. In order to qualify for this credential, individuals complete extensive educational requirements, covering a broad range of expertise in textile and fabric identification, as well as their remediation, cleaning and restoration.
The CF'S candidates are also required to prepare a formal report on am approved topic relevant to the industry, pass a rigorous exam which demonstrates their knowledge in this area.. Linda also hold the designation of Certified Oriental Rug Specialist, CRS. All of the same requirements must be met to achieve this designation.
