June 07, 2007 - Lily&Chloe made in Morocco …Perhaps was “born” when Lisa Charkey (founder of Lily&Chloe) purchased a pair of red leather babouches in the Souk on a vacation in Morocco 4 years ago. But more likely the business began when she realized that these wonderful shoes had become an integral part of her wardrobe when she returned home to Paris and were still a staple 2 years later when she relocated to NYC.
Lily&Chloe has evolved into what it is today, a source for urban ethnic style with a contemporary Moorish flair. With Lily&Chloe men, women, and children of all ages can express their personal style with sunlit, supremely comfortable, hand stitched shoes, in brilliant North African hues and uniquely textured leather bags shimmering with coins from around the world.
Lily&Chloe also offers urban ethnic chic in a contemporary special collection of Italian leather and Moroccan fabric fanny packs/hip pouches designed by Litza a Parisian designer with her atelier in morocco.
In Paris these fanny packs are “le banane”, we call them “Kritik” sashes and offer them in a variety of unique colors. Lily&Chloe made in morocco has now expanded their line to include adult unisex, women’s, children’s, and home accents collections.
