Life Transformed Adopts Melanie Dekker’s ‘fall In/wounded Soldier’ As Foundation Theme Song

Recording Artist Pledges Funds from CD Sales to Support Wounded Soldier Rehabilitation Programs

(1888PressRelease) December 13, 2007 - Harker Heights, Texas – Life Transformed, a non-profit foundation that provides career training for military spouses, war wounded caregivers and wounded soldiers, is proud to announce a new funding pledge from singer/songwriter Melanie Dekker and her record label, Zabit Records, a division of Sonoma Mountain Entertainment. Life Transformed will receive $3.00 from each sale of Melanie’s CD, REVEALED, sold through www.lifetransformed.org, which will fund the organizations rehabilitation and education programs. REVEALED features the hit single, ‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier,’ which has also been adopted as theme song for Life Transformed.

“I don’t think any other contemporary song so perfectly defines the emotions of a military wife, or caregiver,” comments Colleen Saffron, executive director of the Life Transformed Foundation, whose husband was severely wounded in battle in Iraq. “‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier’ is a anthemic ballad that strikes the heart strings of everyone who hears it, and those who see the video are overwhelmed. We’re honored to make it the theme song for Life Transformed, and grateful for Melanie’s pledge from CD Sales will that will fund our military family and wounded solider support programs. ”

LifeTransformed.org provides education and resources to war wounded caregivers and military spouses through private and corporate entities. Life Transformed increases awareness of the long-term needs of these families and supports them as they re-enter the civilian sector. Melanie's efforts have been lauded by a multitude of military family support organizations, including AmericaSupportsYou.org, for which Melanie recorded a video public service announcement that was broadcast to over 16 million military households in the US, as well as military personnel in 177 countries, on the Armed Forces Network and the Pentagon Channel.

Melanie wrote ‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier,’ during the long trip from Vancouver to New York where she first performed it at a benefit concert in New York for The U.S. Wounded Soldiers Foundation. Melanie states, “The ‘wounded soldier’ in my song represents more than the physically wounded. It's emotional, and it's psychological. It's about being brave enough to love again after your heart has been wounded or broken. It's about healing with love. So, it really is a love song.”

Melanie Dekker’s CD, REVEALED, featuring the hit single ‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier,’ can be purchased from the Melanie Dekker link at the www.lifetransformed.org home page. Christmas delivery is guaranteed if ordered by December 18, 2007. The video for ‘Fall In/Wounded Soldier,’ which has received almost 11,000 views since it was posted to YouTube.com in March 2007, has received rave reviews from civilians, military family members and veterans alike. The video also appears on Military.com
