The Norwalk Connecticut based data storage solution provider has been playing the network power availability field, with a focus on clustered environments. "we finally decided to stop attempting to go to market with vendors who only showed up when there's a potential deal on the table", said Alani Kuye, president of Phantom Data Systems. "We talk to customers and when the power discussion comes up, we were quick to recommend a certain vendor. However the vendor at the time never really engaged. However when the numbers start adding up, you decide it's time to make an official move." continued Alani Kuye.
The power and cooling market has been one somewhat overlooked by the industry. With vendors such as APC, MGE UPS, EMERSON, Triton and a host of house hold names taking the lead. The surge in servers and computing equipment has necessitated the need to efficiently manage power as part of companies disaster recovery planning and uptime guarantee management.
Building specialty in this area has become paramount as well. "Our first action was to examine all the providers out there and select the best partner program, support infrastructure, and more importantly accessibility.
