March 21, 2007 - CALGARY, AB, MARCH 20, 2007: The owner of Little Traveller Rentals Ltd, Colleen Thorpe, on her last plane trip alone with her three year old and 16 month old took two car seats onto the plane. It took two nice attendants to help her on, and three helpful attendants to get her off, the plane.
After hearing about this new device, Colleen is thrilled to rent it through her business.
The CARES device is for children who are 22-44 lbs, are over one year of age and require their own seatbelt on a plane. It is NOT for use in vehicles.
The restraint attaches to the lap belt of the seat, is less than one lb, fits into your pocket and will be much easier to get through security. The child will be able to use the tray table and won’t be able to kick the seat ahead.
That’s good news for everyone on the plane.
