April 24, 2009 - In response to customer demands, Leatherlink, a pioneer of Leather Industry enterprise software announced the release of GloView, its Software-as-a-Service Reports Analytics tool. The product was launched at the Hotel Radha Regent on April 18, 2009.
Mr. B. Ramalingam, Deputy General Manager of Tata International, Chief Guest said that This software will be particularly useful for organizations where data consolidation and reporting is a major challenge and requires combining many different data sources into a single report.
Leatherlink conducted a live demonstration of GloView which highlighted the extraordinary flexibility of the software. Designed to cater to the reporting needs of various departments and an organizations management, it offers extensive options on configuring and representing data in many formats including visually rich graphs and charts.
Company heads will be specifically benefited as they just need to ensure that data from all their locations are regularly uploaded into the online system. This will give them the flexibility to view the reports wherever they are in the world without having to worry about contacting Head Office.
Also present at the launch was Dr. Sadulla, Executive Director, Indian Shoe Federation, Chennai. Dr. Sadulla congratulated Leatherlink on addressing the need of the hour in a time of recession by bringing out a low cost but high value software solution.
Leatherlink announced the availability of free, ready to use templates for marketing, sales, production, finance, and inventory as part of the service. These templates are customizable to each organizations needs apart from which they can use their own templates and configure their own report formats to suit the unique needs of each department within the organization.
Of special interest to many attendees was the sharing feature which enables companies to give external users, be they suppliers or buyers, access to custom tailored information.
Mr Viswanathan of UNIDO enquired about the collaboration and security features in the system and expressed his admiration for the measures used to ensure that each set of users had complete data security and protection.
