Cure Our Kids is a charity dedicated to supporting the Oncology Unit at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. They raise funds and provide services to help make the challenge easier for kids with cancer and their families. Cure Our Kids seeks to grant children every opportunity to enjoy experiences which give them a sense of happiness, relief and wellbeing, making their time in hospital as positive as possible.
Through this partnership they have helped make 15 year-old Anne and 15 year-old Jake time in isolation a whole lot more bearable, by providing them free wireless internet cards. Anne who was diagnosed with a brain Tumour and Jake, who has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant to help overcome High Risk Leukaemia, is now able to stay in contact with the outside world, download movies and music, keep up-to-date with their schoolwork and most importantly, stay in touch with friends and family while their treatment continues.
