Latin Builders Association(r) Commemorates Cuban Independence At May Luncheon
In honor of May 20, the Cuban Independence Day, the monthly Latin Builders Association® luncheon will pay homage to the Cuban roots of the association. A special ribbon cutting of the new sea wall at la Ermita de la Caridad will precede the luncheon. At the luncheon, Chairman of MasTec Jorge Mas will speak.
- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2012 - Jorge Mas, Chairman of the Board of MasTec, will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon on May 18, 2012. Preceding the luncheon, there will be a very special ribbon cutting ceremony for el malecón at La Ermita de la Caridad.
The networking hour and luncheon will take place at the Felix Varela Hall of La Ermita de la Caridad, beginning at 11:30 am.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for el malecón will celebrate the new seawall, and pay homage to the landmark of the same name located in Havana, Cuba. Keynote speaker Jorge Mas will be discussing the rise of his company, MasTec, as well as his work with the Cuban community in the South Florida region.
"The LBA wants to honor its rich Cuban roots, and this event is a perfect celebration of May 20th," said President Bernie Navarro.
"The ribbon cutting of el malecón features many contributions from our members to this special landmark, and we look forward to acknowledging them at this event. Jorge Mas has done incredible things for the Cuban community in South Florida, in both a professional
and personal sense. I look forward to hearing his story at our luncheon."
