  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) March 15, 2017 - CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has announced major enhancements of its Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries focused on productivity gains.

Parallel processing support, that was already available for its CATIA V5, NX, SOLIDWORKS and Creo libraries, has now been extended to its CATIA V6, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge and IGES libraries.

This enhancement allows applications to import documents in multiple threads and process them simultaneously. This increases user productivity by allowing much faster loading of large assemblies and significantly accelerated batch translation times.

"The largest Independent Software Vendors in the CAD/CAM/CAE space depend on CCE's interoperability technology to read and write multi-CAD data. These ISVs are constantly looking at ways to leverage today's increasingly advanced computing power in the form of multiple cores and processors. Extending parallel processing to a new set of libraries as part of this recent update, in addition to the ones we already supported last year, shows our commitment to helping our customers reap benefits from latest technology advancements," said Vinay Wagle, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

    About Open Data Exchange (ODX):
Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries read & write Native CAD data. File formats that are currently supported for ODX include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Pro/ENGINEER (PTC CreoŽ), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, 3D PDF, VDA, & STL. Applications developed using ODX libraries are independent of CAD. The libraries written in C & C++ are easy to implement & follow software releases via continuous updates. Apart from licensing the library components, we also provide integrations services to integrate our libraries into customer applications. The true benefit of using our ODX libraries is the reduced cost to the user. Our ODX libraries do not require CAD software or licenses, which can be quite costly. ODX gives the user the ability to read & write native CAD files without the cost of ownership associated with the CAD system.
