Language Service Provider Becomes The First Indian Company To Receive DIN EN 15038 Standard From TUV In Asia

The awardee, Coimbatore based Lyric Labs has facility to design and publish in more than 140 languages.

(1888PressRelease) January 08, 2008 - Coimbatore - Lyric Labs, a translation and content localization company based in the city, has received DIN EN 15038 Standard for its services. According to a release issued here by the company, DIN EN 15038 is the only standard available for translation services worldwide and it is certified by TUV Germany. Lyric Labs becomes the first Indian translation company to receive this standard and only company in Asia to practice the standards as per TUV.

Lyric Labs has an array of Indian and Multi national corporates as its clients that include companies like Ford, Biocon, American Power Corporation, Cognizant, Incredible India, Bharat Biotech, John Dere, Accenture, Caterpillar and IBM availing translation and content localization services. It may also be noted that Lyric Labs is the first online translation service provider to have received the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the translation services.

Commenting on the occasion, V.R. Sasidar, CEO of Lyric Labs said, “Growing demand for multilingual publishing has urged us to establish a one of its kind facility in India to promote multilingual desktop and online publishing in almost all European, Indian and other Asian languages like the Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The facility helps us build a capability to translate and publish documents in more than 140 languages and handle 1500 – 2000 pages per day, including graphics and images”.

Sasidar further added, “In this category of business which is largely constituted by unorganized players, probably ours is one among few companies to have made sizeable investment for setting up modern facilities to scale up standards of services. Having the corporate headquarter and production facility in a tier II town like Coimbatore is no longer a disadvantage and in fact, it allows us to gain cost saving and we are able to pass on the benefits of at least 40-50% on pricing to the clients, compared to the operators in USA and Europe”.
