(1888PressRelease) October 20, 2009 - Buckinghamshire, UK - Lane End Conference Centre, one of the first purpose built venues in the UK, celebrated its 40th birthday last week.

The event to officially mark the birthday took place on Thursday 10th September attended by clients, suppliers, staff, supporters and friends. Also present was Professor William Barry, the founder of Lane End Conference Centre.

The evening event was circus themed, including stilt walkers, fortune tellers, jugglers and acrobats. A ring-master acted as master of ceremonies, welcoming the guests and ensuring the evening flowed. He also delivered a witty, entertaining address, introducing key members of the team, whilst delighting the audience with facts about the centre’s history. The grand finale was a mixture of fireworks, fire juggling, throwing and swallowing.

Sustenance included bowl food and a barbeque selection influenced by cuisines across the globe and served in portions allowing guest to try all the different alternatives. This included English, Thai, Caribbean and African options.

The evening wound up in the Cabin Bar, Lounge and Games Room, a new facility offering a variety of recreational and leisure activities for guests. Open just recently it includes a comfortable bar area, pool, snooker, table tennis and air hockey as well as a sun deck for evening drinks and bbqs.

Heni Fourie, sales and marketing manager commented: “The evening was a tremendous success, attended by a wide variety of people. The theming suited the venue perfectly and all our attendees had a chance to experience our superb food, the 26 acres of grounds and wide ranging event facilities.”
