The mission of the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) is to support the preservation, improvement and enhancement of the environment. Founded in 1966, LAF promotes a collaborative effort to improve the American environment by conducting research on sustainable design and planning; sharing information through professional symposia and published case studies; and encouraging the growth of the profession through scholarship opportunities.
The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) announced the appointment of a new executive director, Barbara Deutsch, ASLA. Deutsch comes to LAF from BioRegional's One Planet Communities Program in Washington, DC. She will focus on expanding LAF's influence in sustainable design.
