November 09, 2008 - Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) commends Governor Schwarzenegger for taking steps to stimulate job creation and provide a much needed boost to our state’s economy in these difficult financial times. In particular, the LAEDC supports the Governor’s proposals to accelerate the spending of Proposition 1B bond monies, ease barriers to public private partnerships and “design-build” agreements, streamline the permitting and review process to accelerate certain non-structural hospital construction projects, and provide targeted tax credits to help keep television and film production in California.
