Secure Wireless Transfers Corporation (SWT) today announced that it has been selected by the editors at CNET Webware as a finalist in the first ever “Webware 100” awards for its KushCash Payment System, a mobile money transfer application that lets users send and receive social payments instantly through their mobile phones to anybody, anytime and anywhere in the US. From more than 4,000 user-submitted nominations, KushCash was chosen as a finalist for the “Webware 100” Awards. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 18 and posted on Webware.com, a CNET site.
Since it’s inception in 2005, KushCash has offered a fresh and easy-to-use service that enables users to transfer money from mobile phone to mobile phone. Settling debts, lending money and sending funds to a personal contact becomes easier and quicker than today’s traditional standards. Users are always kept up-to-date on all financial transactions in “real time”. KushCash can also be used as a social money “status” tool – letting users know where they stand within their financial circles.
“KushCash will change the way that you think about how you use your money,” said Joey Santley, Chief Marketing Officer at SWT.
“With a high consumer adaptation of cell phones, we’ve embraced the mobile phone into our lives. It’s KushCash’s mission to help broaden and enrich the consumer’s mobile options. Sending money through a mobile phone is as easy as it’s ever been with KushCash, and with the KushCash Payment System, our users can create a social money scene that’s transportable and always “Pocket Accessible,” said Joey Santley.
To use KushCash, new users simply go to www.kushcash.com and register. After registering, they can immediately begin using their KushCash account.
To protect users, KushCash uses very powerful encryption and security. No one is ever given personal financial details or PIN information. The person receiving a cash transfer only sees the payment time and amount of payment. All other details are only available online from the sender’s account access. So, even if a KushCash member’s mobile phone is lost or stolen, the user's KushCash account remains safe.
The “Webware 100” Awards recognizes the best Web 2.0 sites, services, and applications that are leading the next wave of innovation. Voting is open to the public from Monday, May 14 through June 3, where the top 25 finalists in each category will be listed.
The ten categories are Browsing (web browsers, extensions, widgets, and security); Communications (e-mail, chat, VOIP); Community (social networks, groups); Data (search, storage, backup, sharing, and sync); Entertainment (games and contests); Media (audio, video, photo); Mobile (portable utilities and apps); Productivity (apps, business tools, commerce); Publishing (blogging, web content, design tools); and Reference (mapping, reference works, and education).
