  • (1888PressRelease) December 25, 2015 - New Delhi : Korean Cultural Centre, India had organized all India 3rd Korea-India Friendship Essay Competition. The participation of 6584 students from 406 schools across India made the competition successful. The prizes were distributed by H.E. Mr. Hyun CHO, Ambassador, Republic of Korea at the centre. Kim Kum-pyoung, Director, Korean Cultural Centre India, Mrs. Lama Chandra Nigam from City Montessori Inter College, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Mrs. Aarti Tewari from Mata Jai Kaur Public School, teachers and all the students graced the occasion. The prize distribution award ceremony witnessed huge participation as students from Bihar Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal and NCR.

    While interacting with students, H.E. Mr. Hyun CHO, Ambassador shared the importance on writing essay. He said that technology has made interaction process very short. When we interact with friends through messages or chats we actually don't think. But when we write essay, we put our deep thoughts. While writing we need to put our views in somebodies else's shoes. We need to be precise and logical in our thoughts.

    Kim Kum-pyoung, Director, Korean Cultural Centre India congratulated all the winners are participants. He said that in the world of globalization, students need to learn about different foreign countries. Once you start learning about foreign countries you start finding your inner qualities. You start preparing yourself for better future.

    The topics were based on Korean culture. Essay competition succeeded in bringing out heart-touching expressions in the form of essays from the Indian students. Some wrote emotionally, some drew beautiful images, some used poetry, but surely all poured their hearts out.
