Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2011 - Korean-American Actress, Writer, and Director, Alexandra Chun, got a taste in annihilating the human race as an alien mad scientist, Dr. Lu, in NBC's Sci-Fi Drama, "The Event".

"I'm grateful that the writers and producers ("EVENT") developed my character from a non-descript acupuncturist to a mad scientist" says Chun. "I've played many women with secrets or unsavory pasts, but to have it develop in this way was a thrilling ride."

This Korean-born starlet began her career in entertainment as a regular on the US soap, Another World. Since then she played recurring and guest starring roles in dozens of television shows including Young & The Restless, Ghost Whisperer, House MD, and LAX, among others. She also rolled in parts in feature films such as Ali, and the hit horror film, SAW.

NBC may have laid out its plan to reverse the network's long run of declining primetime ratings, cancelling "The Event", but it may not be over just yet. According to the Huffington Post and Deadline.com, rumors of Netflix may continue to tell the rest of the story.

"I hope Dr. Lu has a strong impact on The Event fans one way or another." said Chun. "Then I've done my part whether it is cancelled or picked up by another network."
