Mitchell Kauffman, as managing director and owner of his independent firm Kauffman Wealth Services (offices in Santa Barbara and Pasadena), has provided comprehensive wealth management and financial advisory services to retirees, business owners, corporate executives, professionals and individual women throughout the country for over 25 years. Mitchell is one of five financial advisors in the U.S. named to the Advisor Hall of Fame for 2010 by Research magazine. This prestigious award has been presented to only 100 advisors over its 20 year history based on recipients passing a rigorous screening, having a minimum of 15 years in the industry, having acquired substantial assets under management, demonstrating superior client service, and earning recognition from their peers and the broader community. He was recognized as one of three "Bear Market Stars" nationally by Registered Representative Magazine in its August 2009 issue for performance during the economic market downturn. Mitchell feels fortunate to have served as a graduate fellow under the late Dr. Peter F. Drucker at the Claremont Graduate University where he earned his M.B.A. He subsequently earned his Certification in Financial Planning and Masters of Science from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He earned his B.A. in Business Economics and Political Science from UCSB and achieved a life long dream by returning to Santa Barbara in 2006 with his wife, Dr. Joanne Moran, their daughter Kelly and son-in-law Jeremy Smith, along with recent twin granddaughters.
