(1888PressRelease) April 10, 2009 - Karen James will join Drs. Gloria & Heidi Horsley to discuss Healing Grief on their nationally syndicated talk radio program “Healing the Grieving Heart” April 9, 2009 at 9 AM PST/12 Noon EST.

Karen James is the widow of Kelly, a veteran mountain climber who was trapped in a snow cave on Mount Hood in December 2006. She is the author of the book “Holding Fast: The Untold Story of the Mount Hood Tragedy,” In her book, Karen discusses the tragic climb and how her faith comforted through the tragedy.

Karen James reminds us that the grief is normal, and that no one needs to grieve alone. Through her book, Karen has helped thousands of people work through their grief and continue their life in a positive way.

She has a private practice in Manhattan, NY specializing in grief and loss. She is also author of “Teen Grief Relief” and “Real Men Do Cry”. She holds graduate degrees from the University of San Francisco, Columbia University, and Loyola University.

Dr. Gloria C. Horsley, PHD, MFT, CNS, is a bereaved parent, and has worked in the field of family therapy for over twenty years. Dr. Gloria is Founder and President of the Open to Hope Foundation. She serves The Compassionate Friends (thecompassionatefriends.org) in a number of roles, including as a Board Director and frequently serves as a media spokesperson in her dual role as a bereaved parent and professional.
