Kangaroo Brands has been baking pita pockets since 1979, when it became the first company in the United States to create precut pita pockets. Since then, the company has patented Open Pockets; a proprietary process keeps the pita open and ready to fill, allowing consumers and foodservice operators to easily create a pocket meal.
