Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease)
April 23, 2008 - Pop Rock artist Kaitlyn Anderson is set to officially release her anticipated EP “A New Word for Over” on May 9, 2008. Anderson will kick off the release at her album release show on May 9, 2008 at 9 pm at the PLUSH LOUNGE (VIP room @ The KEY CLUB ft. Ryan Cabrera) in West Hollywood, California. For her debut EP, Anderson and her producer Peter Barker (Fiona Apple, Heart, The Pretenders, Incubus) created an infectious rock sound highlighted with a kiss of pop. Inspired by musical acts such as Foo Fighters, Kelly Clarkson and Paramore, Kaitlyn has taken the best of each influence to create her own sound in this six-track EP.
Anderson says, “If ‘good things are worth the wait,’ then GREAT things MUST also be worth the wait! After this long, but amazing process of taking a chance and pouring my heart out writing lyrics, arranging catchy melodies, and producing a sound with phenomenal musicians and professionals-- I am so thrilled and proud to give the world, ‘A New Word for Over.’ Hope you all love it as much as I do!”
In addition to releasing “A New Word for Over,” Kaitlyn and her band have recently performed at local hot spots such as the famous Troubadour, The Cat Club and The Mint. Kaitlyn’s band consists of: Eric Kambestad (Drums), Guillermo Guerrero (Lead Guitar & Background Vocals) and Ben Bradshaw (Bass Guitar). Most recently, Kaitlyn Anderson supported breast cancer research through her involvement with the Lilith Unfair.
