March 13, 2009 - On Saturday, March 14, 2009, pop singer Justin Stein will be at Brentwood High School supporting the Best Buddies Festival of Friendship: Run for the Buds in association with the Best Buddies of California nonprofit organization. This year’s carnival-style festival features an opportunity to win tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert, celebrity Grand Marshalls Michelle Marks and Luke Zimmerman from the hit ABC Family TV series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” food and live entertainment. Stein will be performing the national anthem before the friendship walk. All proceeds will benefit Best Buddies California programs.
“Supporting people with intellectual disabilities brings me nothing but happiness. I would love to lend a hand in them all finding lifelong friendships through the support of Best Buddies. I know this organization will continue to grow—it’s such a wonderful cause,” shares Stein.
The mission of Best Buddies California is to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Best Buddies California has also formed a partnership with Cedars Sinai Blood Services, therefore, a blood drive will be held in conjunction with the Festival of Friendship from 11:00am-4:00pm.
The Festival of Friendship will be open from 12 to 4 p.m. Brentwood High School is located at 100 S. Barrington Place Los Angeles, CA 90049.
