February 28, 2009 - BC Kalev Cramo defeated Nevezis in a 82-76 victory in Baltic Basketball League play Friday led by veteran guard Josh Pace. The former Syracuse University star posted 15 points in the game playing 21 minutes versus Nevezis.
Pace also grabbed two rebounds and played solid defense in Kalev Cramo's victory. His shooting also proved that he's ready to again take a go at the NBA while he went 80% from the field and 67% percent at the free throw line. He was also 1 of 2 from three point land.
Josh is picking up where he left off back in the CBA when he played for the East Kentucky Miners during the 2007-08 season, leading the league in scoring at a impressive 23 points per game. Josh was named to the American Conference CBA All-Star Team that year.
"Josh has definitely improved his game from last season. I've been reviewing his film from the Kalev games this year and I've noticed that his speed has increased dramatically and he's finishing alot stronger at the rim" says Pace's agent Nate McCray of Michigan based DSM. "Josh is displaying all the political positives that the NBA looks for when he steps on the court".
Last summer Pace worked out for the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors. His agent stated that there will be more workouts this summer compared to last year.
"My plan is to keep Josh busy this summer with free agent workouts and I've already had premature conversations with alot of General Managers and Scouts in the NBA to put things into to motion so we'll see what happens", stated McCray.
