John Howard Reid is a noted Biblical scholar who has produced new translations of both Old Testament and New Testament books, as well as of so-called "apocryphal" books that once formed part of both Testaments, but are now largely excluded by Protestant Christians. He is also a novelist, a poet, a journalist, and a short story writer. Currently, he is the Chief Judge of three of America's richest and most prestigious literary events: The Annual Tom Howard Short Story and Poetry Contests, and the Margaret Reid Prize for Traditional Verse.
