JobCentral & The National Association Of State Workforce Agencies Announce JobCentral National Labor Exchange Executive Committee Appointments

Committee to govern service that provides job seekers, employers and states a cost-effective transition from America's Job Bank


(1888PressRelease) May 11, 2007 - DirectEmployers Association and the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) announced today four new appointments to the Executive Committee which governs their JobCentral National Labor Exchange alliance. JobCentral National Labor Exchange (www.jobcentral.org) was recently selected by The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) (www.naswa.org ) to provide job seekers, employers and states a cost-effective transition from America’s Job Bank (AJB) when it is discontinued July, 2007 as previously announced by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Members of the Executive Committee representing NASWA include Richard A. Hobbie, Executive Director, and Roosevelt (Ted) Halley, NASWA President and Executive Director of the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. DirectEmployers will be represented by William O. Warren, the Association’s Executive Director, and Robin L. Katzman, President of the Association.

JobCentral National Labor Exchange provides a wide range of employment services to participating state workforce agencies, from job listing distribution to and from state employment web sites to participation in the national labor exchange with other states.
