Japan Film Festival – Los Angeles, JFFLA, is a non-profit organization seeking to increase the exchange of culure and ideas between US and Japan through cinema. The film festival exposes the diverse Los Angeles community to what's new and hot in contemporary Japanese productions. Attendance at the festival in Santa Monica, Downtown LA, and Irvine has skyrocketed a record 183% since it's inception and is a testament to the growing interest in film out of Japan. The upcoming film festival launches April 10th and runs through April 26th 2009. A symposium titled "Creating Films for an International Audience" will be presented Tue March 10th 5pm at UCLA's Korn Convocation Hall.
