March 26, 2009 - Their goal for this event is to promote awareness for eco- and animal-friendly practices in fashion, as well as showcase innovative designers doing what they do best. The show will be an evening affair, done outdoors on the beautiful USC Campus, and will be attended by USC students, local press, environmental movers and shakers, and of course, fashion enthusiasts alike. The event begins at 7pm with Jazmin Whitley opening the show with a celebrity catwalk.
Hannah Beth, Lucy Walsh, Malese Jow, Christa B. Allen and Courtney Halverson plan on strutting the runway to help bring awareness to the cause. Jazmin Whitley will be debuting her new Street Wear Collection. “I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing event and introduce my new street wear collection”. Whitley exclaims.
Produced by current USC student and ALIVE president JJ Jiang, the show will be at McCarthy Quad, on the USC Main Campus, and will feature the new collection from internationally renowned designer Jazmin Whitley, as well as Levi's, Re-Shirt, Indigenous Designs, Tika Merino, Dash Hemp, DLK, and 86 Gestalt. The nigh will be filled with fashion, fun and music. Runway shows will begin at 7:15pm DJ-ing the event will be DJ Cynthia, and a concert by Pinot Funk will follow.
There is no cost to attend the event but donations would be appreciated, items will also be available to purchase and a portion will go to the Alive organization.
