Before fully dedicating herself fully to JANERA.com, Janera was the Director of Strategy of Corsair Studio, a specialised design, branding and communications firm. She was responsible for new business development, liaising with the PR agency and exploration of international growth opportunities.
Prior to moving to New York, Janera spent six years in investment banking in Amsterdam and Milan. She worked as an Associate in Italian IPOs and on the execution of strategic acquisitions. Her industry focus was on Media and Luxury Goods.
Janera has a Bachelors from The London School of Economics, a Masters in Economics from Erasmus University, and MBA and Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University. She is fluent in Dutch, English, Italian, Spanish and Papiamento.
Janera lives in the Lower East Side, loves yoga and running, photography and movies. She has two turtles, Francis and Bacon.
