November 29, 2008 - New input formats: MKV, WMV, MOD, ASF, MP2, M2T/M2TS. New output formats: MKV, MKA.
MKV and MKA are Matroska file types which support Chapter, Audio tracks, Subtitle tracks and Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS audio. They are more and more popular in internet. It is said that Matroska will replace AVI.
WMV and ASF are widely used formats for PC.
MOD is JVC's implementation of MPEG-2 transport streams, M2t and M2TS files are created by Sony hard drive camcorders. All of them are the most popular camcorder formats need to be converted.
