Isis Services To Host Interactive Live Videocast At 3rd International Conference On Notes

ISIS Services will serve as the host site for a series of procedures that will be videocast to the Palace Hotel at the NOTES Conference.

San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2008 - ISIS Services, LLC, a leading contract research organization, is pleased to announce that its facility in San Carlos, CA will serve as the host site for a series of live video casts at the 3rd International Conference on Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES™).

The conference will be held on July 10-12, 2008 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California and is open to physicians and researchers with an active interest in NOTES™ technology and science.

Using ISIS Services’ fully-integrated audio and video conferencing center, live demonstrations of a variety of NOTES™ procedures will be presented at the conference, allowing attendees to view the most current research approaches. ISIS Services’ plasma displays will broadcast the latest concepts and approaches performed in its operating rooms to video screens in the Palace Hotel, allowing participants to view the procedures remotely.

NOTES™ is a new type of minimally-invasive surgical procedure currently being studied at research hospitals and facilities around the world. This new series of procedures was developed to realize the benefits of less invasive surgery by reducing the recovery time, physical discomfort and visible scarring associated with traditional procedures.

The NOTES™ initiative is a joint effort of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), who have formed the working group, NOSCAR™ (Natural Orifice Surgery Consortium for Assessment and Research) to consider issues surrounding the development and introduction to the clinical practice of NOTES™.

ISIS Services brings the most advanced technology to the operating room, offering two-way video conferencing capabilities, as well as multiple camera and display options in each operating room, with full audio/video support for high-end displays of interactive procedures. The organization’s fully-distributed audio systems, DVD recording capabilities and plasma displays provide for customized video in conference rooms and operating rooms. Its state-of-the-art conferencing center is designed to increase productivity, reduce study and travel costs, and ultimately, to bring its clients’ products to the market at an accelerated time frame.

Overseeing the scientific and operational activities of ISIS Services’ San Carlos location is Dr. Jorge L. Garcia, DVM, ISIS Services’ Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Garcia directs all studies at ISIS Services and is a pioneer in laboratory science and research. He can be reached at j.garcia ( @ ) isis-services dot com dot
