Science and innovation dissemination
ISC has assisted with the propagation of European Union R&D information for more than 10 years . ISC helped launched the first web service on CORDIS in December 1994 at the start of the Fourth Framework Programme (FP4), subsequently managed the CORDIS Communications and Awareness activities. ISC is in charge of statistical analysis and user profiling for the CORDIS web site.
Science and innovation policy analysis
ISC has supplied top-level analyses of science, innovation and related policies for both private and public clients. ISC recently completed a study on innovation management techniques across Europe for the European Commission's DG Enterprise.
Intellectual property awareness raising
ISC provides media relations for the EPO epoline ® annual conferences, helping to raise awareness of the long-term benefits of epoline ® and its services, to encourage its use by patent professionals and the research and innovation community .
ISC has also supported the development of targeted public relations and communications strategies for the European Commission's IPR (Intellectual Property Right) Helpdesk . ISC helped the IPR Helpdesk to devise effective methods of raising awareness on intellectual property.
Fora for technology evaluation
ISC has responsibility for coordinating the US government's involvement in the Washington Research Evaluation Network (WREN) workshop which took place on 17-18 June 2004 in Brussels in cooperation with the European Commission. The workshop served as a forum for the US and EU to explore research evaluation methodologies within the context of publicly-funded RTD programmes.
Windows on EU enlargement
ISC developed targeted communications on European Union enlargement, including creating a 'web window' on enlargement as part of the official EU Presidency. ISC also established and implemented 'Enlargement Media Task Force' activities for the Vienna (1998), Cologne (1999), Helsinki (1999), Brussels and Copenhagen (2002) European Councils and subsequent EU Summits.

Innovation and technology transfer
ISC edited the Innovation and Technology Transfer Newsletter (ITT) , which covers EU-supported innovation and technology transfer measures. ISC developed the content and expanded the format of the newsletter from two colours to a full-colour publication available in six languages.
Furthering European dialogue
ISC acted as project manager for the European Dialogue publication, which is published six times a year in eleven languages covering all of the Accession Countries. Primary responsibilities included coordination of translations, content development and production of the finished publication. ISC also undertook management, market research, mailing list management and liaising with the respective EU Delegations on content, circulation and subscriptions.

ISC has supported a range of online and print publications for the CORDIS EU R&D information programme, including �CORDIS Focus and the CORDIS web site
Lectures and seminars
ISC has been responsible for delivering a range of events focusing on science and technology; including lectures, seminars, workshops , exhibitions and demonstrations. These have been carried out for NATO, the European Commission, EUREKA , the European Patent Office and the US government , amongst others . |
