Iri Golf Honors The Men and Women Of The Armed Forces With Third Annual Golf Tournament

Iri Golf Is Pleased To Announce That The 3rd annual Stars and Stripes Golf tournament at Arizona National golf course raised $1,000 in donations for the Folds of Honors.


(1888PressRelease) August 18, 2011 - Tucson, Arizona - IRI Golf, one of the country's finest golf course management companies, recently hosted their third annual Stars and Stripes tournament at Arizona National Golf Course in Tucson, Arizona. The golf tournament was created to honor our United States service men and women and to give back to them for the freedoms and ideals they defend in honor of our Constitution and the values by which our country lives.

The day of the tournament dawned sunny with some typical desert winds blowing at gusts of up to 40mph. Turnout was excellent with 104 players participating in the tournament. The winning team for first place was Chris Nanos and Kathie Bannister. Second place went to Isaac Albrecht and Emmanuel Valenzuela and third place to Jim and Linda Paciorek. Fourth and Fifth place went, respectively to Jeffrey Gamely and Sara Olsen; and the team of Matt Moon and Kat Foley.

This was the 3rd edition of the Stars and Stripes Tournament. The full day of golf and festivities not only honors our troops but raises money and awards prizes to participants in the tournament, fully 1/3 of which were members of our esteemed Armed Forces. During the tournament, Alliance Beverage held free tastings of premium vodka Grey Goose and the All American Diner served dinner during the Awards Banquet.

The 3rd annual Stars and Stripes Golf tournament at Arizona National golf course raised $1,000 in donations for the Folds of Honors, with $500 of that contributed by IRI Golf's Arizona National course. The Cell Phones for Soldiers program collected 40 cell phones. Prizes were auctioned off including a Golf Buddy Platinum(Retail value $399), and Taylor Made Burner Driver(retail value $299), as well as some Cleveland wedges and putters (retail value of each $129.
