January 18, 2008 - Tired of waking up a night with your headscarf lying by your side? Did you leave the salon yesterday with a fabulous hairstyle, but are having difficulty recognizing it today? Would you wear a head dressing at night to preserve your hairstyle if it were not so uncomfortable?
These questions were inspired by a handful of complaints that Bunnie Levering, owner and operator of His and Hers 2000 Hair Salon in Omaha, NE would hear from her clientele. Necessity is the mother invention, and so Levering, a veteran hairstylist of over 20 years, created Bunnie's Satin Wraps. It is the one of a kind stylish hair dressing created to preserve your hairstyle while getting a good night's sleep.
"My client's would often complain that they had trouble preserving their hairstyles after they left the salon," she said. Their hair would look and feel great until they went to sleep at night, and then would appear somewhat lack luster the next day. "I designed the satin wrap to maintain their hairstyles and preserve the health of their hair," said Levering.
Healthy hair requires that a certain level of moisture be maintained so that the hair cuticle remains strong and pliable. The satin wrap, which is made of one hundred percent satin, prevents moisture loss at night to cotton sheets and head scarves, significantly reduces the risk of breakage, preserves bouncy curls, and keeps the hair feeling soft.
The satin wrap is stylish, unlike conventional head wraps that leave you feeling unattractive at bedtime and is designed to conform to all head shapes securely, which guarantees it will stay in place.
Levering has sold over 3,000 wraps to her clients and in national hair shows. Originally created for an exclusive clientele, The Satin Wrap is now available to all.
