  • (1888PressRelease) February 14, 2016 - The New Delhi based company Intex Technologies have stormed into the wearable segment market in India with the launch of FitRist, a fitness smart band, which promises to last up to 12 days on a single battery cycle. Intex FitRist comes with an OLED display, which displays the current time too, thereby allowing consumers to also use it as a smart watch. The smart band is affordably priced at Rs. 999, and is available exclusively on e-commerce website Snapdeal.

Intex FitRist is surprisingly well equipped with features given the product's affordable price tag. The Integrated Bluetooth 4.0-enabled Intext FitRist is equipped with features such as step monitoring, distance measurement, calorie count and sleep-quality monitoring.

"Once it is synced with the smartphone, it displays all kinds of notifications including monitoring calls. The band helps the user control music track on the smart phone, thereby customizing the music experience. The band also helps in tracking the smart phone device," read the official press release from Intex.

Available in dark blue and white colours, the Intex FitRist is water-resistant and compatible with both Android and iOS-powered smartphone devices. The fitness band provides the user with important notifications, including calls, on the 0.86-inch OLED display with 96 x 32 pixel screen resolution. Intex FitRist is also enabled with great syncing capabilities, which allow users to control music tracks and even locate their smartphones paired with the band.

The fitness device comes with a unique remote shutter feature that can be used to control the smartphone's camera directly from the band, which is helpful if the user wishes to click a photo from a distance. But, Intex FitRist does not have a heart rate sensor though.

Given the attractive features and affordability, Intex FitRist is expected to compete with existing fitness bands in the same price range of Rs. 999 such as the YU Fit and Xiaomi Mi Band.
